A little bit of rest for the team after busy period
Everything is on the boat, Becx Competition is getting ready for Dakar!
From the moment Becx Competition announces its participation to the toughest rally in the world, it lives in a rollercoaster of activities. Last week the vehicles were delivered in Le Havre for the long crossing to Peru and there falls a burden off the shoulders of the team members. They can concentrate on the latest things before Le Dakar starts on 6 January 2019.
“We will fly on the 2nd of January, so we have one more month for the final things and to pack our suitcases. Edwin and I are still busy with the physical preparations, because Dakar is of course a bit heavier than a Dutch rally. But first we take a little rest after the hustle and bustle we have been in during the past months,” says Michiel Becx.
The long day in Le Havre did not cause any problems for the team. “Everything is in order and we have gone through the scrutineerings easily,” says Edwin Kuijpers. “It was a long and cold day, but the organization has done its utmost to make it as smooth as possible for us. We have received a lot of compliments from the attendees that we take on this challenge and for the material that we have. Our Expandable service truck in particular falls good.”
